Studioteka creates custom design elements for beautiful bespoke Gramercy Park apartment!

Some recent design work for a fantastic client with a beautiful two bed, two bath apartment in the coveted Gramercy Park section of Manhattan! The media room features a custom built-in dry bar with backlit shelving and a sleek countertop which runs the length of the room. Warm wood paneling in a dark chocolate brown wraps the space around its focal point—a comfortable chesterfield leather sofa—while softly lit green upholstered walls with decorative nail head detailing add an elegant spin to our take on the library den. The schemes for the spacious primary bath and the elegant guest bathroom have a mix of subtly contrasting textures and patterns. Gray and white fern wallpaper along with a mirrored medicine cabinet with brass accents complete the look.A close up of the same scheme seen above.This scheme goes lighter, with a white vanity and lighter floor tile. The tile above the bullnose is white with an angled pattern that creates interest.This is our black on black scheme, with black subway tile and black hexagons, echoed in the black accents seen in the floor tile. The white vanity stands out in front, and a white bullnose ties it all together.Our first scheme for the guest bath took a black and white twist, with a delicate patterned wallpaper above the dark subway tile.This scheme goes a lot more neutral, utilizing the same delicate wallpaper, but changing up the look of the vanity and adding in warm neutrals in the floor tile and textured wall tile.Yet another twist! We love exploring all the options, and visualizing spaces in this way helps our clients to understand what a space will look and feel like once it’s fully built out.
