Vanessa Keith, MArch, MIA, is a registered architect and the Principal of Studioteka, an award-winning design firm she founded in 2003 (@studiotekadesign). Based in DUMBO, Brooklyn, Studioteka integrates architecture, technology, economic and social development, and environmental concerns into its multidisciplinary approach. Vanessa’s focus includes visionary solutions to climate change and designing technical and engineering responses to environmental challenges. Her research spans Eco-, Afro-, and Indigenous Futurism, as well as the use of cutting-edge tools like virtual and augmented reality to create sustainable and socially just futures.

The Sachs Program for Arts Innovation is celebrating its sixth annual round of grant awards, providing $170,000 to support 15 projects across categories such as Artist Residency Grants, Community Partnership Grants, Project Grants, Curricular Grants, and Independent Creative Production Grants. We are also celebrating the previously announced Student Grant Awards and First-Year Seminar Grants, with a combined total of $265,000 in funding for 45 ambitious projects across the arts and humanities this year.

As the Official Vision Partner for Climate Week NYC—the largest Climate Week on Earth—MOTF serves as a World’s Fair of Sustainability, featuring dozens of climate-focused companies, engaging panels, insightful talks, live music, and over 1,000 attendees. It was an inspiring day filled with innovative ideas and a shared commitment to a sustainable future.

The opening night of Doce Fábulas Urbanas at Matadero Madrid was fantastic! This exhibition explores the city and its myriad potential futures, showcasing work from artists, architects, and urban environmentalists. It was a powerful gathering focused on finding better futures in the face of climate change. I’m thrilled to be part of it!
