Custom bar with integrated wine fridge and brass wineglass rack
Progress post on our Williamsburg, Brooklyn apartment renovation for which we provided architecture, interior design, and custom millwork design services. The custom bar designed by Studioteka is complete and ready for its first champagne toast! Custom designed kitchen cabinetry by Studioteka has been installed and is in use. Under cabinet lighting is being installed in the new kitchen by the GC’s electrician, who met with us yesterday on our punch list walk through. A beautiful custom, wall-mounted oak bookcase in the living room is complete and filled with books and small sculptures from the client’s collection. Furniture is en-route and we are nearing the finish line! Loving this bold, eclectic residential project and our wonderful clients and team who have been great partners in designing this gorgeous space with us!

This meant that we had to reinforce the wall it’s mounted on since it doesn’t touch the floorProgress view of the new custom kitchen cabinetry, designed by Studioteka, which also has brass edge banding and hardware to tie the overall theme together. A warm tangerine colored wall completes the look and is a complement to the royal blue of the cabinetsThe new marble backsplash we chose matches the one on the custom bar, and contains small round accents that subtly catch the light, adding a bit of sparkle to the space.Ready for the next dinner party! The ceiling-hung cabinet above the island is supported by rods inserted in the ceiling by the contractor, gaining much needed additional storage space for this family of four Looking from the kitchen towards the living roomNew Moroccan patterned concrete floor tile completes the lookWe love this wallpaper chosen for the living room to go with the blue and gold theme of the apartmentPhilippe Starck chairs and an accent rug were chosen for the dining area and card table in the living roomThe third of the four bedrooms serves as an artists’ studio for this talented couple!Another view of the studioWallpaper in one of the bedrooms features climbing vines and chimpanzeesWhile a bathroom is given a bright jungle print with parrots hidden among the leaves! We love the lively splash of color this print gives to the space. A powder room can be a great place to experiment with bright and bold patterns and colorA view of the living room in progressCoordinating with the electrician on the under cabinet lighting which is being installed in the kitchenTwo members of the design team looking over the installation manual while the electrician and millwork contractor speak with Studioteka’s principal.
