Studioteka’s Williamsburg Apartment Renovation Nears the Finish Line!

Progress post on our Williamsburg, Brooklyn apartment renovation for which we provided architecture, interior design, and custom millwork design services. The custom bar designed by Studioteka is complete and ready for its first champagne toast! Custom designed kitchen cabinetry by Studioteka has been installed and is in use. Under cabinet lighting is being installed in the new kitchen by the GC’s electrician, who met with us yesterday on our punch list walk through. A beautiful custom, wall-mounted oak bookcase in the living room is complete and filled with books and small sculptures from the client’s collection. Furniture is en-route and we are nearing the finish line! Loving this bold, eclectic residential project and our wonderful clients and team who have been great partners in designing this gorgeous space with us!

We love the bar’s marble countertop and the backsplash with cool blue and warm brass accents

We love this piece at the entry, the warmth of the wood goes with the new hardwood flooring and the blue wallpaper’s subtle gold accents
Gold edge banding wraps the wall-mounted bookcase and the inset finger pulls on this custom piece
When full of books, the piece weighs in at around 1,200 lbs! This meant that we had to reinforce the wall it’s mounted on since it doesn’t touch the floor

The new marble backsplash we chose matches the one on the custom bar, and contains small round accents that subtly catch the light, adding a bit of sparkle to the space.

The ceiling-hung cabinet above the island is supported by rods inserted in the ceiling by the contractor, gaining much needed additional storage space for this family of four

Philippe Starck chairs and an accent rug were chosen for the dining area and card table in the living room

While a bathroom is given a bright jungle print with parrots hidden among the leaves!
We love the lively splash of color this print gives to the space. A powder room can be a great place to experiment with bright and bold patterns and color
